Good Morning!

I hope that you all had a restful weekend! It was great getting to meet a lot of you at our family picnic on Friday! If we did not get to meet you, we look forward to seeing you tonight at meet the teacher!

Registration is still open through CHARMS. Everyone will need a band shirt at some point this year so please make sure you go through the band website and click on the link for CHARMS. If you need assistance there are tutorial videos as well.

It’s not too late to sign up for personal training.

Scholarship forms will be available on the band website later today. Band shirts should be in sometime next week!!

Beginners: You should start seeing parts of the instrument coming home. Once instruments start coming home, they should come home every day. If you ride the bus you will have plenty of time to come to the band hall and get your instrument. We have a lot of band students that ride the bus, so they will not leave without you! Students should also be practicing master of the alphabet. Have them show you!!!

Objective pages are due this week. Ask your child to see their objective page, you as the parent need to sign this page by the end of the week for a homework grade. We will go over in more detail the objective page at meet the teacher tonight.

Symphonic and Concert Bands:  Sectionals start this week for symphonic band, and next week for concert band.  The schedule is attached. Objective pages are due this week for both bands. Students need to have at least 5 objectives passed off as well as a parent signature.

Our first All-Region masterclass is this Friday from 3:45 to 6:00 PM, Note the ending change. This is our first time to really dive into the all-region music and get some good work done on this challenging music. This is required for all Symphonic band members. Concert band members may attend if they are interested in trying out for all-region.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you this evening.
